Welcome! I'm Emily - artist and craftswoman, horse mom, and powerlifter from the beautiful PNW!
I started my adventure into the world of papercrafting through holiday gift tags - my first love! But I was receiving more and more requests for cards and papergoods to celebrate other occasions that I finally gave in and tried my hand at cardmaking! I started out by creating chic and straightforward designs, using patterned papers, simple sentiments, and a few little embellishments sprinkled in. Before long (and many hours of YouTube/Instagram inspiration) I discovered the world of stamped and colored die cut images and my focus shifted again.
I had always loved to color (who doesn't love a good coloring book!?) but was wary to jump right into alcohol-based markers like COPICs so I started with pencils - I applied lessons gleaned from other colorists on how I chose and used my pencils. Over time and with tons of practice I began to see my images come to life - I knew I was finally ready to jump headfirst in to COPICs! I love the saturation and dimension I'm able to achieve with my markers, and the color combinations are endless (especially if you like to break the 'rules' like I do!)
I now proudly say that I specialize in custom cards, gift tags, bookmarks, small gift holders - anything paper goes! I enjoy creating complex scenes chock full of handcolored images, or beautifully clean and simple designs - I cannot wait to share my creativity and papercrafting techniques with you!
